JOHN ROBERT HANCOCK (1955)
Alcorn County Farmer Dies After Heart Attack
Corinth, Miss., March 23-John Robert Hancock, Alcorn County farmer and landowner, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday after a heart attack at his home in the Shiloh community.
Mr. Hancock, who was 52, was born in Alcorn County and was a member of the Shiloh Community Presbyterian Church.  In 1923 he married Miss Addie Lee Williams.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, W.H. Hancock of Booneville, B.J. Hancock of McKenzie, Tenn., and J.W. Hancock of Corinth; daughters, Miss Mary Hancock, of Corinth; Mrs. Marion Kelly, Mrs. Ross Smith and Mrs. Otto Sinn of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. M.E. Coleman and Mrs. J.A. Maddox of Corinth.
Services will be held at Shiloh Community Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be in Shiloh Community Cemetery with Perkins Funeral Home in charge.  Other arrangements are incomplete.
