J.L. Leggett and Tilly BennettA quiet wedding ceremony on Tuesday evening at the parsonage of the First Presbyterian Church united Mrs. Alice Leroy Thompson and George R. Weatherford, deputy court clerk. The marriage was unannounced and was a surprise to the friends of both bride and groom. Mrs. Weatherford is a woman of great charm, and has a number of friends in Memphis and at Corinth, where her father was formerly a prominent merchant. Mr. Weatherford is well liked and esteemed, both in his official capacity and socially.
