MOSS SERVICE TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY
RETIRED FARMER DIED THIS MORNING FOLLOWING THREE MONTHS ILLNESS
Funeral service for Owen Boyce Moss of 1218 Washington Street will be held tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) at 2 o'clock from the Pleasant Hill Church with Rev. Sam E. Ashmore, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Mr. Moss died this morning at 12:50 o'clock following an illness of three months. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. Moss was a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama and a member of the Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and was well and favorably known by a host of friends and relatives of the community who are grieved to learn of his death. He was married in 1897 to Miss Rheua Ann Crowe of Alcorn County, who preceded him in death December 28, 1943.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with McPeters Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two sons, L.R. Moss and J.B. Moss, both of Corinth; two daughters, Miss Esther Lee Moss and Miss Ethel Grace Moss, both of Corinth; one brother, T.J. Moss of Glen, Mississippi. He is also survived by one grandson, Howard Moss of Corinth.
