I am searching for the death record and burial place of my grandmother, Lizzie Shields Graves. Her first marriage was to Ben R. Shields who died when my mother was an infant.   She then married a Walter Graves in 1907 in Carroll County.  We have been told that she died in childbirth shortly after she married.  My mother was reared by a great aunt, who knew little about the family, was in her seventies when my mother went to live with her.  We would be grateful for any information concerning the above mentioned names.

A cousin told my mother that her mother went to Elizabeth to live when she married Mr. Graves.  I went to Elizabeth last year and found it to be a sort of deteriorating community near Leland.  No one seemed to know anything about Elizabeth.  At that time I did not know the name of the person my grandmother married the second time.  Any information will be appreciated.
