J.L. Johnson

Query posted September 28, 2004

I was at Gettysburg a few weeks ago and came across a confederate soldier buried by mistake the with 11th Massachusetts. The stone reads
J.L Johnson
Co K Regt. 11 Miss.
C.S.A.
I think it may be John T. Johnson listed on the roster you have. I am not related, but I have an interest in knowing who he was. I tried to research on the internet, but came up with nothing. My husband and I decided he died close to a Massachusetts regiment at Picketts charge. I know there was a Massachusetts regiment fighting next to the 19th Maine. If you have any information on him and are willing to share I would love to have it.

Thank you
