State of Mississippi Carroll County Between 

L.S. Byrd and M.F. Byrd 

and 

S. Shute 

This deed of conveyance made and entered into this the 10th day of November 1875 by and between L.S. Byrd & M.F. Byrd of the county and state aforesaid of the first part & S. Shute of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars has granted bargained sold and conveyed and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey to the said party of the second part the following land (Viz) N 1/4 less 20 acres off of western boundary and less thirty acres off of eastern boundary being section (18) eighteen township (17) seventeen range 3 east also N 1/2 of SW 1/4 less (25) twenty five acres off of the northern boundary and the S 1/2 of W 1/2 of SW 1/4 less (21) twenty one acres off of the southern boundary and less (5) five acres off of the eastern boundary all in section (17) seventeen township (17) seventeen range 3 east containing in all (139) one hundred and thirty nine acres more or less to have and to hold th! e above described land with the appurtenances to the party of the second part and his heir and the said parties of the first part covenant with the party of the second part that they will warrant and forever defend the title of the same to the party of the second part and his heirs free from and against the right title or claim of their heirs in testimony whereof the parties of the firs part have hereunto put their names and seals the day and year above mentioned.
