Note: Technically, the Tims Cemetery is a few feet across the Clarke Co., MS line into Choctaw Co., Alabama, but almost all of the people buried there were from Northeastern Clarke County, MS - Max Carroll

TIMS CEMETERY
CHOCTAW COUNTY, AL
ESTABLISHED IN THE 1850's
(List compiled in 1997 by Albert Rea Tims, Long Creek Community (Lauderdale 
County, Mississippi)

Persons wishing to contribute to upkeep of Tims Cemetery should contact Ernest 
M. Tims, P.O. Box 735, Butler, AL 36904.

LOCATION: Leave Quitman on U.S. Highway 45 North, turn right on Mississippi 
Highway 514 and pass through Energy and Snell, turn right on Clarke County Road 
464, drive past Mt. Zion (Sugar Loaf) Baptist Church about .8 mile and take 
right at fork, go .3 mile and take left at fork on Clarke County Road 462.  
Cemetery will be on left just after crossing the state line. 

NOTE:  There are numerous marble markers with only the letter "T" on top and 
in addition concrete blocks spaced about.  These markers represent unknown 
graves.
