Thomas Reuben Fleming was born in 1839, Copiah County, MS, to William James Bradley Fleming b. 1794 SC d. 1859 Copiah County and Jane Hamilton b. 1809 LA or GA d. 1875 Copiah County. In 1865, Reuben Fleming married Elizabeth Ann Buie Crawford, widow of John W. Crawford. According to his descendants, he owned a peach orchard outside of Crystal Springs. He and Elizabeth had 3 children. Reuben died in 1893 and he and his wife, Elizabeth, are buried at the Crystal Springs Cemetery.

David Robert Fleming was born in 1830, Copiah County, MS, to William James Bradley Fleming b. 1794 SC d. 1859 Copiah County and Jane Hamilton b. 1809 LA or GA d. 1875 Copiah County. He married Rebecca Murray in 1850, was a farmer, and later served in Company E, 39th MS Infantry Regiment, CSA. They had 9 known children. After Rebecca's death in 1874, David Fleming married Amanda Caroline Sandifer, a war widow, and the couple moved to Simpson County where he continued to farm and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He died in 1918 and is buried at the Palestine Cemetery, Simpson County, MS.

Samuel John Fleming, born 1828, Copiah County, was the oldest son of William James Bradley Fleming b. 1794 SC d. 1859 Copiah County, and Jane Hamilton, b. 1809 LA or GA d. 1875 Copiah County. He married Verlinda Elizabeth Mattingly in 1853 and had 9 known children. Sam Fleming was a farmer, chair manufacturer, and served with Company E, 4th Mississippi Cavalry, CSA. He died in 1893 and he and his wife are buried at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Copiah County.
