Issac Stanfill Cemetery

This is a FREE site provided by the MSGen Web Project.

05/31/14 was the last day I modified this page.

Location: southwest of Hazlehurst, past Glancy, nearly to Browns Wells.

Note: This neglected cemetery is located in a pasture about 1 1/2 miles south of old Center Point (or Glancy), west of Hazlehurst.  It was on a farm which the storekeeper said was the old Turnipseed home place; a negro man by the name of Charlie Red lives there now in the old house and showed us the graves. Crape myrtle bushes, tall and ancient, iris and spirea were in profusion - the undergrowth was heavy, many bushes, vines and trees.  A hugh cedar tree about 3 feet in diameter stood at the end of a sunken grave.

There are many graves in evidence, without stones.  All of the following stones were lying down, almost covered with dirt and leaves except the first one.
