                                        Notice

 

Was committed to the jail of Copiah County, Mississippi on the 26th of August, a negro man who calls his name Sam and says that he belongs to one Phillip Green of Warren County, Mississippi.  Said negro had on when committed a new cotton shirt and a pair of cotton pants and a furred hat, no shoes, had in a bundle two fine shirts, two pair of pants, one vest, and one blanket.  Said negro is about fifty years old and about 5 feet ten inches high.  The owner of said boy is requested to come forward and comply with the law and take him out of jail, or he will be dwelt with as the law directs.
