Blue Ruin Plantation

"Blue Ruin Plantation was the property of F.M. Hutchens.  His Will dated December 29, 1910, Book C, Page 216, Wills of Yazoo County, Mississippi, reads:

This is my Last Will and Testimony to-wit:

'I being of sound mind do by these presents, Will and Bequeath to my sister, Fannie Bell, all my estate-personal, real and insurance to have, hold and use for her personal use, without any reservation, only that all my legal debts shall be paid.'

The Fannie Bell mentioned was the widow of Rev. Martin Anding Bell, b9orn September 29, 1858, died October 5, 1886.  They were the parents of two daughters.  The first was born and died august 16, 1885.  The second, who was named for her father was born nearly a month after his death.  The story of her passing was thus chronicled by the Yazoo City Herald dated december 11, 1925.
