Seated on the left is Amelia L. Rankin Riley, wife of John Riley. Amelia was born 16 January 1869, the daughter of Ethelburt and Mary Jane Cason Rankin. She was also the sister of Congressman John Elliott Rankin, an early proponent of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Other women in the photo include members of the Cason family and Lizzie Eron Cockrell Riley (behind right seated Cason woman).
