THIS INDENTURE, Made on the 24th day of Noember A. D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and 22 (1922) by and between I. L. Lantz and his wife Gillie Mae Lantz of Monroe County, State of Mississippi, parties of the first part and J. C. Nix of the County of Monroe, in the State of Mississippi, party of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Fifteen hundred ($1500.00) Dollars, to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do . . . by these Presents, GRANT, BARGAIN AND SELL, CONVEY AND CONFIRM unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, the following described Lots, Tracts or Parcels of Land lying, being and situate in the County of Monroe, and State of Mississippi, known and described as follows:

The North East Quarter (NE 1/4) of the North West Quarter (NW 1/4) less and except Two (Cr. 2 A.) in the North East corner thereof cut off by the Matubby Creek, and

The East half (E 1/2) of the North West Quarter (NW 1/4) of the North West Quarter (NW 1/4) and Twenty (20 A.) acres off of the North side of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) and

Twenty Four (24 A.) acres off of the North side of the South West Quarter (SW 1/4) of the North West Quarter (NW 1/4) all in Section Twenty One (S. 21) Township Fourteen (T 14) Range Seven (R 7 E) East, and containing in all One Hundred and Two (102 A.) acres more or less in Monroe County, Mississippi.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the premises aforesaid with all and singular the rights, titles, privileges, appurtenances and immunities thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, both at law and equity, unto the said party of the second part, and unto his heirs and assigns forever, in fee simple. And the said parties of the first part, for their heirs, executors and administrators, do . . . hereby covenant and agree with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, that the said parties of the first part will Warrant and Defend the title to the said premises unto the said party of the second part, and unto his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whomsoever, except on account of taxes due after the 24 day of November 1922.

Monroe County. } Personally appeared before me The undersigned of the County of Monroe, the within named I. L. Lantz & wife Gillie Mae Lantz who acknowledged that they signed, sealed and delivered the foregoing Warranty Deed on the day and year therein mentioned, as their act and deed.
