The family record given below, written on a sheet of paper, yellow with age, was found in an old trunk belonging to Ella Roberts Ferguson (Mrs. Verell Pennington ) b. 21 Oct, 1861 in Yazoo Co., Ms. ; d. 8 Mar, 1927 Learned, Hinds Co., Ms.

As far as is known, this trunk had not been opened since the death of Mrs. Ferguson in 1927 until 1959 when it came into my possession.  In it were found Mementos, photographs, baby clothes, and many family letters.
