SEBASTOPOL -- Services for George Thomas Tubby will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pearl River Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Willis and Williamson Isaac officiating. Burial will be in Isaac Cemetery in Philadelphia. 
 

Mr. Tubby, 73, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. 
 

Survivors include his mother, Mary Willis of Philadelphia; two sons, Darris Tubby and George Thomas Tubby Jr., both of Philadelphia; four daughters, Rose Cutler and Sherrie Tubby, both of Philadelphia and Shirley Mingo and Nancy Cordova, both of Walnut Grove; two brothers, Presley Tubby and Curley Tubby, both of Philadelphia; two sisters, Laura Jefferson and Alma Bell, both of Philadelphia; 35 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 
 

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Earlianna J. Isaac; and a son, Dalton L. Tubby.

Services for Annie Mae Williams will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the New Cannan Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian. The Rev. Stanley J. Coleman is the pastor and will be officiating the service. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 
 

Mrs. Williams, 50, of Meridian, was born Annie Mae Mayhan on Jan. 22, 1952, in Shubuta to the late Lula Mae Hollingsworth and L.T. Mayhan. She attended Shirley Owens in Quitman and later attended Harris in Meridian. She graduated from Meridian High School. After 24 years of dutiful service to JCPenney Department Store, she retired in 1998. 
 

Mrs. Williams joined New Cannan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Jenkins and has faithfully rendered her service there until her health would no longer permit so. Very active in her community, Mrs. Williams was a Habitat for Humanity volunteer and dedicated member of the Horizon's Christian Fellowship Organization. 
 

This devoted "Mama," "Pammaw," "Teetee," "Annie," sister, church member and very special friend to many, many people from all walks of life will be missed dearly. 
 

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two children, Charles Demetrius Williams Sr.(Jackie Granger) and Angelia Michelle Williams, both of Meridian; four grandchildren, that she adored, Tashee Williams (13), Charles Williams Jr. (7), Charleston Williams (3) and Taylor Andrianna Williams (2), all of Meridian; three sisters, Lee Moore of Meridian, Vira Grace and Jaisy Jordan, both of Pachuta; four brothers, Ernest McFarland Jr. (Odell Cole) of Meridian, Jimmy McFarland, Sacramento, Calif., Herthur Jordan, Jr. (Annie Sherwood) of Bay Springs and Andre Jordan (P.J.) of Indianapolis; her loving devoted soul mate and friend, James Stewart, along with a close-knit group of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members and very, very special friends. 
 

She loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, gave her life to Christ at an early age and had a light of her own that shined bright as the stars in the sky. Very organized, thorough and more than anything else, always concerned more for others than herself, she left this handwritten note on a small piece of stationary. "Meechie and Angie remember I will always be with you'll because I love both of you so much. I love and care for all of my grandchildren. I hope they will grow up to be something very special in their lifetime. Tell Stewart, Lee, Jr., Jimmy, Kim, Kiara, Jasmine and everyone that is very special to me that I will always cherish and love them very much. Also Pastor Coleman and my church family." 
 

And to you dear lady: We miss you so much... your smile, your hugs, your cooking, your friendship and our conversations... but we know that God loves you more! We will see you again someday.

Mr. Burns, 77, of Louisville, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at his home. He was a retired deputy with the Winston County Sheriff's Department. 
 

Survivors include four sons, Danny Burns of Columbus, Mike Burns of Florida, Ricky Burns of Jackson and Butch Burns of Louisville; two daughters, Renea Wilson of Philadelphia and Annette Burns of Louisville; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Grayson, 90, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Benchmark Health Care. He was a retired quality control supervisor for United Steel, where he worked for 28 years. He was a Mason at Ashlar Lodge. 
 

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Shirley Castle of Grand Junction, Colo.; five nieces, Shirley G. Childres and her husband, Bill, of Calhoun, Ga., Annie Mae Luke and her husband, Jake, of Newport, Ala., Tara Barton of San Gabriel, Calif., Dr. Dolores Grayson of Canyon Lake, Calif., and Stella Grayson of Chino, Calif.; and two nephews, Col. Mr. Brooks, 37, of Collinsville, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Frazier Grove Church of God, assistant Explorer Scouts instructor, a member of the Meridian Police Benevolent Association and an officer in the Meridian Police Department since 1995. 
 

Survivors include his wife, Mandi Brooks of Collinsville; a daughter, Kali Brooks of Meridian; a stepdaughter, Alana Hill; a stepson, Blake Hill; and two sisters, Donna Woodall and her husband, Tommy and Diana Taylor, all of Collinsville; his father, Robert Lee Brooks and his wife, Marie, of Stonewall. 
 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Joyner Brooks and a brother, Michael Lee Brooks.

DR. EDGAR WATERS BRYAN III 
 

EVANSTON, Wyo. -- Services for Dr. Edgar Waters Bryan III will be held today at 1 p.m. at Aspen Grove Baptist Church in Evanston. Services will also be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist church in Springhill, La. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. 
 

A beloved husband, father and papa, Dr. Bryan died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, in his home. 
 

He was born Aug. 26, 1943, in New Orleans, La., the son of the Rev. Edgar Waters and Maggie Holstun Bryan Jr. 
 

From a young age he dedicated his life to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. On July 30, 1966, he married Barbara Martin in Minden, La. Dr. Bryan was currently the director of associational missions for the Southern Baptists in Wyoming. He had pastored six churches in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi, before being called to a ministry at First Southern Baptist Church in Powell, Wyo. He ministered there for eight and a half years. While in Powell Dr. Bryan also volunteered as a chaplain for the police department. He was an avid hunter and sportsman and a collector of guns. 
 

Survivors include his wife Barbara, of Kemmerer, Wyo.; son, the Rev. Edgar W. Autumn Bryan IV of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and daughter, Tabitha Osborne and her husband, the Rev. Ronnie Osborne, of Castor, La.; two special granddaughters, Megan and Anna Grace Osborne; his mother, Maggie H. Bryan of Coushatta, La.; and a sister, Julia Bryan Miller and her husband, Richard, of Sulpher, La. 
 

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mrs. Robinson, 50, of Quitman died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Baptist South in Montgomery, Ala. She was a retired textile worker with Burlington. She was born March 23, 1951, in Clarke County. 
 

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Robinson of Quitman; sons, Robbie Boman of Meridian and Jay Ivey of Quitman; step-son, Eddie Robinson of Meridian; daughters, Sondra Boman Clark of Montgomery, Ala., and Lajeana Pierre of Quitman, step-daughter, Anita Bond of Meridian; a brother, Bill Allen of Quitman; sisters, Relda Holifield of Quitman, Diane Boman of Meridian and Elaine Tucker of Quitman; 15 grandchildren and a special cousin, Karon Ivey of Quitman. 
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward Allen and Jeanie Jenkins; sisters, Bobbie Jean Shotwell and Betty Lou Lee. 
 

Pallbearers were Joe Boman, Chris Tucker, Kevin Holifield, Steven Tucker, Lamar Rich and Bob Allen.

Mrs. Cannady, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She had been active in the family real estate business and was a legal secretary. She was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Garden Study Club, King's Daughters Ernest Workers Circle, Wednesday Bridge Club, and was a past officer of the Ladies Golf Association at Northwood Country Club. 
 

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Weeks and her husband, Charles, of Clinton; a son, Norman A. Cannady and his wife, Peggy, of Pascagoula; five grandchildren, William R. Cannady III, Perri Coffey and Gus Weeks, all of Madison, Nicole Boulton of Gautier and Norman Cannady Jr. of Oxford; five great-grandchildren, Mark Allen Ros, Mary Thomas Boulton and Keylee Boulton, all of Gautier, Hayden Coffey and Peyton Coffey of Madison. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. "Bill" Cannady; and a son, William R. "Billy" Cannady Jr.

Mr. Carter, 56, of Pennington, Ala., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Union 917 for 38 years, Causeyville Community Club, Causeyville Volunteer Fire Department and Causeyville Baptist Church. 
 

Survivors include his wife, Loretta A. Carter of Pennington; a son, James E. Carter and his wife, Nancy, of Meridian; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Moffett and her husband, Glen, of Louisville, Billie Joe Williams and her husband, Steven, of Meridian; four grandchildren, Steven Carter Williams, Jessica Danielle Moffett, Emily Brooks Williams and Travis Brandon Williams; his mother, Lucy A. Mr. White, 39, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Greene County Hospital in Eutaw, Ala. He was a member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church. Mr. White was a graduate of Meridian High School, attended Millsaps and graduated from Ole Miss. He had worked for Harry Mayer Clothing store for 15 years.
