Mable Young

    Mable Edlin Young, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, in New Albany. She was born Nov. 24, 1910, in Marshall County to Lonnie and Nannie Oglesby Edlin. She was a member of Potts Camp Baptist Church and a homemaker.
    Services were Thursday, Oct. 14, at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Epting and Bro. Jim Buchanan officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs.
    Survivors include her husband, Ernest F. Young of Potts Camp; one son Lanier Young, and his wife, Joy, of Belden; one daughter, Ernestine Barber, and her husband, Bobby, of Holly Springs; three brothers, Thomas Edlin, of Abbeville, Dwain Edlin of Oxford, and Austin Edlin, of Memphis; four sisters, Mary Robinson of Loveland, Ohio, Mildred Leeton of Abbeville, Evelyn Gibson of Kenner, La., and Annell Farmer of Salem, Ore.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
    Pallbearers were Johnny Staton, Robert H. King, Glen Humphreys, Billy Bowen, Edward Overall, Billy Edlin, Johnnie Stevens, Chuck Gordon and Marshall Clifton.
