This is a roster of men from Tallahatchie County Mississippi, who gave their lives for the United States of America. The Wars of Civil War, WWI,WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama and the Persian Gulf.

I only have a few of those who perished in the Civil War and would appreciate it if anyone with that information would share it with us. The few I have came from the WPA Source Doccuments. These were send to us by Jim Taylor of Pasagoula Ms. He was so kind to look at the WPA Source Documents and send

Alex Burnett-died Gettysburg
James Prince-died at Little Rock Ark.
George Burnett-died-Gettysburg
Lovie Prince, died Gettysburg
James McPherson-died Gettysburg
Richard Ross-died Franklin
Jack Mullen died home infection
George Worley-died Gettysburg
Elisha Prince, died Gettysburg
Elisha Prince, died Gettysburg

John Worley-died home infection
John Yewell Was sent to a POW camp at Nashville then to a camp at Louisville and from there To Rock Island, Ill. John Yewell died June 22, 1864 and was buried there in plot number 1265.
Robert Thompson Crenshaw, mortally wounded on the retreat from Gettysburg and died in the hospital at Gordonville. 21st MS "Tallahatchie Rifles". (He was a law student at Ole Miss and is an ancestral uncle of Sally Adams Lee, who sent this info to us. Thanks Sally
