Mr. Albert Blair

Mr Albert Blair, 82, of Independence, died Thursday, January 14 at Methodist Hospital South in Memphis. Services were held Saturday, January 16 at C O Pate Funeral Home in Senatobia with interment in Mt Zion Cemetery in Independence. Active pallbearers were Alan Crockett, Clay Blair, Mark Crockett, Clay Irby, Willie Irby, Jimmy Crockett, and Scott Treadway. Honorary pallbearers were Vinon Ferguson, Maise Ferguson, Sonny Stewart, J A Puryear, Albert Embrey, John Petrowastsi, Dr Albert Powell, Daniel Pope, Wilbert Pope, Merton Crockett, Charles McKinnon, and Reed Pope. Jimmy Ferguson and Mark Reynolds officiated.

Mr. Blair is survived by his wife, Mamie Hale Blair; two daughters, Nancy Irby of Tullahoma, Tenn. and Anne Crockett of Senatobia; one son, Al Blair of Independence; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Charles Retus Blair

Mr. Charles Blair, 70, of Independence, died Oct 23, 1995 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto. Mr. Blair was a retired surveyor for Soil Conservation Service.

Mr. Blair is survived by his wife, Mary C Blair; three daughters, Betsy Farrow of Independence, Ginger Harden of Nesbit and Mitzi Nicholson of Conehatta; one brother, Albert Blair of Independence; and 6 grandchildren.

Services were Oct 24, at Mt Zion Baptist Church with interment in Mt Zion Cemetery. The Rev Rick Burton and Rev Austin Moore officiated. 

Pallbearers were Bennie Blair, Stanley Blair, Ed Ferguson, Lynn Peeples, Gary Walker. Honorary pallbearers were, Ray Avent, Maize Ferguson, Caswell Walker, and Dr. Albert Powell.
