Last Will and Testament of Mrs. E. P. Coppedge

I, Mrs. E. P. Coppedge of Iuka, Tishomingo, County Mississippi, being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and more than twenty one years of age, do hereby make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all other wills heretofore made or purporting to have been made by me.

Item 1: I first desire and direct that all my just debts be paid as soon as practical after my death.

Item 2: I give desire and bequeath to my nephew, J. M. Whitten and his wife Maggie Whitten of Senatobia, Mississippi all of the estate of which I may be sized and personal at my death, and all monies, notes, deeds of trust and household ??????.

Item 3: I appoint J. M. Whitten the executor of this will and recede him from giving any bond as such executor but by probating this will he shall be visited with full authority to take charge of and to administer and distribute my estate as herein directed.

Proof of Mrs. E. P. Coppedge's Will

Be it remembered that this day before me W. H. Thompson Clk of the Chancery Court of Tate County Mississippi personally appeared J. F. Dean, who being duly sworn deposes and says that he knew Mrs. E. P. Coppedge in her lift time and that on the 3rd day of June 1919 said E. P. Coppedge was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding and more that twenty one years of age and entitled in law to make her will and that on said date to wit June 3rd, 1919, said E. P. Coppedge signed the instrument here presented in his presence and in presence of the other attending witness, L. J. Pardue, and declared same to be her last will and testament and said affiant says that both he and the other subscribing witness thereto subscribed said instrument at the special instructions and request of said testator as attending witnesses thereto and that they signed same in the presence and in the presence of each other on the date o said instrument.
