Woodrow L Floate, 72, farmer, died Monday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at C O Pate Funeral Home in Senatobia with burial in Greenleaf Cemetery near Coldwater. He was a member of Wyatte Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. Floate, the husband of Beulah Floate, also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Smitherman and Mrs. Darlene Nelson, and a son, Harry Floate, all of Wyatte; seven sisters, Mrs. Jackie Blair, Ms Nettie Hall, and Mrs. Leon Martin, all of Wyatte, Mrs. Betty Burford of Independence, Mrs. Velda Grady of Coldwater, Mrs. Lucy Hicks of Senatobia, and Mrs. Jimmie Roberson of Millington; three brothers, Archie Floate and Lawrence Floate, both of Wyatte, and Marvin Floate of Harmontown, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
