Rosa Lee Craddock Smith

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Smith, 62, who died at Memphis last Thursday of an acute heart attack were held from Greenleaf Methodist Church Friday.

Mrs. Smith, a native Tate Countain, was well known, loved and respected throughout this county, as was indicated by the large crowd which attended the last sad rites and the floral offerings sent in tribute to her useful life.

The Rev N. N. Maxey pastor of Greenleaf Church officiated at the obsequies and his words of praise for Mrs. Smith provided a source of comfort for her loved ones in their bereavement.

Interment was in Greenleaf Cemetery, with Pate and McCormick, local morticians, in charge of arrangements.

Pall bearers were: Harold Jackson, L W Mosby, Dewitt Walker, D P Scott, C W Glenn and Robert G Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband, T M Smith and two daughters, Mrs. W D Wooten, Coahoma, and Mrs. C W Brisco, Granada.

Era Underwood Smith, 89, of Arkabutla, widow of Tom E. Smith, died Jan. 14 at Senatobia Convalescent Center. The interment was in Surette Cemetery, Jan. 15, with Rev. Charles Cavanaugh officiating. C. O. Pate Funeral Home was in charge.

She leaves her daughter-in-law Mrs. Marie S. Smith, Jackson, Miss., 2 grandchildren, Sandra L. Holleman, Jackson, Patricia S. Wideman, Jackson, and 4 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Tommy Veazey, Otis Thomas, Harry House, Jerry Baker, Frank Jones and William Riley Moore.

Obit of Ina Patrick Smith

Ina Patrick Smith, 86, was born 17 Jul 1922 and passed away 19 Nov 2008 at North Oak Medical Center in Senatobia. Services were held November 21, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home with burial following in Bethesda Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church in Senatobia and was a member of the Eastern Star #266.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Howard Smith.


She leaves her daughter, Phyliss Smith Pruitt of Senatobia and her son, Dennis Smith of LePanto, Ark. She also leaves her sister, Marie Skipworth of Olive Branch, Miss.; 2 grandsons; and 2 great-granddaughters.
