January Term 1854
The church met Saturday before the third Lords day in January
and after divine service by James Stephens and S. Davis set in conference first appointed Brother P.J. Cotton Moderator. Second, Enquired for fellowship peace abounds. Third, invited visiting brethren to seats. Fourth, opened a door for the reception of members no application.  Fifth, called for reference none done in conference Saturday the term above mentioned and signed by order of the church.

Done in conference Satrday before the third Lords day in May 1854 and signed by order of the church.

The church met Saturday before the third Lords day in June and after divine service set in conference first appointed brother J.B. Huddleston Moderator protem. Second, invited (visiting brethren. Third, enquired for fellowship and peach abounds. Fourth, called for reference none. Fifth, opened the door for the reception of members and J.M. Spight came forward with a
petition for admittance again into our union and was received by recantation. Also H.H. Hopper came forward and told an experience of grace and was received and the church went into the choice of a pastor and we chose John B. Huddleston to go in and out before them done in conference Saturday before the third Lords day in June 1854 and signed by order of the church.

Pleasant Hill August 1856
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church convened at her regular term Saturday before the third Sunday in August 1856. Preaching commenced by Bro. J. Clement and followed by our Pastor on the subject of Predestination. After which visiting brethren and sisters were invited to seats with us in Church Conference Enquired for the fellowship of the Church Love abounded Opened a door for the reception of members no application Then proceeded to elect the following brethren. Delegates to the Association H. H. Hopper, J. M. Spight, William Norton and  E. Norton in case of failure  We send two Dollars for printing the minutes.

the fellowship of the Church Love abounded Opened a door for the reception of members Polly Hopper came forward related an experience of grace and was received, to be baptized to morrow The letter to be sent to the Association was then read and adopted.  Moved that Bro. Huddleston request Bro. Moore, Bro. Dougherty or any other brother of our Faith, to be with us at our next meeting.

Services by Bro L Daniel and others.  After which visiting brethren and sisters were invited to seats with us in conference  Enquired for the fellowship of the Church, Love abounded  Opened a door for the reception of members no application  Bro Elijah Lee called for a letter of dismission for himself and wife Sister Nance. Lee which were granted.

The Sacremenat not having been attended too last meeting on account of ill health of our Pastor,
is defered till our next Turn in course
The following resolutions were offered by J. M. Spight and unanimously adopted
Resolved 1st That, it becomes our painful duty to record the death of our well beloved and
esteemed Sister Lavinia Cotton; (The wife of our venerable Brother, Peter J. Cotton) who died at
her residence, on the 28th Oct. 1856 in the 70th year of her age
For more than thirty years, Sister Cotton has been a worthy member of the Primitive Baptist
Church and in her death the Church has lost one of its brightest jewels and orrnament to society,
and to her bereaved husband and children and irreparable loss.
But we greive not as those who have no hope; we believe our loss is her eternal gain, and that
she is now enjoying the immediate presence of our blessed Redeemer
Resolved 2nd That, as a tribute of respect to our deceased sister we request our Clerk to insert
these resolution in our
Church Book

The following of the Church was then enquired for, whereupon, Bro. Willis A. Crook rose and acknowledged to the Church that since he last me with us, he had been overtaken in conduct unbecoming a member of the Church, for which he had even been sorry for, and hoped the brethren would bear with him if they could
The voice of the Church was then taken and unanimously agreed to forgive Bro. Crook
A door was then opened for the reception of members, no application

Crook his wife presented letters and sister Charlotte Meeks an experience of Grace and all were cordially received. Sister Meeks not being prepared is to be Baptised next meeting
The reading of the rules of Decorum and Abstract of principles was called for and read
The following brethren were then appointed delegates to the union meeting H.H. Hopper,
William Norton, T. Easley, and P.J. Cotton alternate

Sunday morning 10 O’Clock we met a large congregation? of people on the banks of Muddy Creek, and then Eld. Huddleston went down into the liquid grave and buried sister Charlotte Meeks by baptism. Then repaired to the meeting house, when Eld. Moore preached to a large and attentive congregation
