and talk with them, they having obtained a letter some 18 months ago for the purpose of moving, but does not move, neither do they attend meetings
Agreed to request Eld E. A. Mider to be with us at our May meeting, and our Clerk write to him.

Opened the door for the reception of members, whereupon Sister Ann M. Nance presented a letter, Brother James H. Nance, Sister Mary A. Cotton and Sister Nancy Cotton came forward and related the reason of the hope they had in Christ and all were unanimously received

Nance, sisters M.A. Cotton and Nancy Cotton, then repaired to the meeting house where Eld. Huddleston preached to a very large and attentive congregation.

Lordís Day
Sunday morning we met at a very early hour, the congregation being unusually large seats were prepared in the yard before the door as well as in the house Eld. Huddleston stood in the door and preached from these words; And they continued steadfastly in the apostle doctrine and in breaking of bread and in prayer. After which the sacrement of the Lordís supper was administered and washing one another feet harmony and good feeling seemed to abound, and we trust that the fruits may be gathered in future time

Reference was next called for one from last meeting in regard to the deaconship of Bro. H.H. Hopper. Agreed unanimously that we are satisfied with Bro. Hopper to remain one of our deacons (after the death of his wife) yet by his own request we also agree to release him We agree to choose another deacon at our next meeting Opened a door for the reception of
members, whereupon Sister Mary J. Elliott came forward and related an experience of grace and was given the right hand of fellowship

We then went to the meeting house and there Bro. S. Daniel opened the services by preaching, to a very large audience followed by Eld. W.S. Daughetry, after which Eld. Huddleston

Moore, and in connesion with our Pastor to constitute the Presbytery

The services of God were opened by Eld. W. L. Dougherty.
Then set in conference.
The fellowship of the church was enquired for love, was made manifest.
Visiting brethren and sisters were then invited to seats with us, and to participate in the business that may come before us.
Called for reference, which we agree to defer, until after a way is made open for membership.
Then opened a door for the reception of members, whereupon brother Jacob Peeler and Sister
Mary Peeler, presented letters, they were both, cordially received to our fellowship.
Then took up the references, we agree that the ordination of Bro. George T. Cotton, be attended
too, tomorrow moving 9 OíClock. With regard to choosing another deacon it is considered impracticable, or unnecessary as we consider two fill the requirements of the Bible.
Then dismissed in order, till tomorrow morning 9 oíclock.

Pleasant Hill May 1860
Sunday morning 9 oíclock, the church met perserant to adjournment. Bro. George T. Cotton, having been previously chosen to the office of deacon, took his seat for ordination, Elders present William L. Dougherty and John B. Huddleston.
The ordination began by Eld. Huddleston; Hymn; Jesus, united by thy grace; Prayer by Eld. Huddleston.

Dougherty.   Dedication prayer by Eld. Dougherty; Hymn; Up to the throne 0, God of Love; By
Eld. Huddleston.   Right hand of fellowship, by the Presbytery and church. At an early hour afterwards, preaching commenced, to one  of the largest congregations ever assembled at this place. Eld. Dougherty preached from the last verses of the 7th  chapter of Matthew. After which the sacrement of the Lords Supper was administered, then we washed one anothers
feet, during which time Love seemed to abound.

We the Primitive Baptist Church at Pleasant Hill believing the doctrine of Election Predestination. Effectual calling and final perserverance of the saints to Glory (through Grace) Baptism by emersion Do certify that our beloved Brother (or Sister) is in full fellowship with us and requesting a letter of dismission is hereby dismissed from us when joined to another church of the same faith and order wherever God in his Providence may cast his lot. Clerk prepare the letter
