I have been researching the BRADDOCK family of Mississippi for about 20 years, especially those in Tippah and Chickasaw Counties. Many of these families were related, and many moved within a short period of time to central Texas in Fayette and Travis Counties in the mid 1800's. Braddock (wife Nancy Seay), who was in Chickasaw County MS in 1840 was related to the Braddocks in Tippah County. They appear to be related, but I have not been able to determine exactly how. BRIM/SIMPSON/WESTBROOK/SCOTT
I am looking for any information on the above families in Tippah County in the 1840 -1855 time frame. My ggrandfather Linza R. Brim and wife Jemima (Simpson) Brim were in the 1850 census for Tippah Co. Linza was born in Lincoln Co.,TN in 1828/29 the son of William Brim/Mary Westbrook. I have very little information on the family during that time except that William died while Linza was young and some of the family moved to Tippah Co. Linza moved to Navarro Co., TX in 1854 where he married Sarah J. Scott in 1869 after Jemima died in 1868. Sarah was born in MS in 1848 but I don't know if it was in Tippah Co. Her family came to TX in 1851. I don't know if Linza had siblings but assume he did since a bibliography of him from Navarro Co. said he was the only member of his family to come to Texas. I am descended from his second marriage. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
