I am interested in families related to the WILSON, ROSSON, MARS or SWINDLE lines, Henry WILSON married Mary SWINDLE in Tippah county in 1860 the family lived in a location that later was to become Alcorn county. Henry had Nancy J, Mahaly J, Moses, Sarah A, Charlotte and Laney from a previous marriage to Nancy Ann Ragsdale. He and Mary had Joe, Launa, Lidia, Emily and William A. with Mary Swindle. Henry's father was Moses WILSON. Both Henry and Mary were born in Tennessee.
Henry ROSSON was born in Tippah county abt 1860 to Mary ROSSON, He married Mary MARS abt 1880 in Alcorn county. They had Mamie, Joe, Bunyon, Maggie, Henry, Curtis, and Lillie. I know very little about the ROSSON and MARS families. Descendants of all 4 families moved to the Northeast portion of Texas or the Southeast portion of Oklahoma.

Eli Murphy came from York County SC to Monroe County MS ca 1822 and then to Hardeman County TN ca 1826 where married Rebecca Tuttle, daughter of Solomon Tuttle. Around 1850 moved to Tippah County and is buried at Mt. Moriah Cemetery - Son, John M. Murphy, lived in area also. Daughters married Vachel Pulliam, George W. Quinn and William A. Crow. I am interested in corresponding with anybody interested in these families.
