D-90 4 Jan 1841 - John W. Norton to Nathaniel B. Leatherwocd --- that in 1818 Jesse Leatherwood, a citizen of Giles County, TN. died leaving his widow with one child, the said Nathaniel B. Leatherwood  only child and heir to his estate. On 19 Jan 1820, said John N. Norton and Polly Leatherwood, widow and amix. of Jesse Leatherwood was then lawfully married and John H. Norton became lawfully the manager of said estate. Now said John H. Norton is willing that Nathaniel B. Leatherwood become a lawful and legitimte heir with the rest of his children, John H. Nortan gives up all claims against estate to Nathaniel B. Leatherwood. Wit: Hardy W. Stricklin, Thos. J. Davidson.
