James H. married 1st Nancy Gardner 1866 in Pontotoc Co; 2nd to Mary Ann Cody Sandlin widow of Mr. Sandlin. She had one son Joe Claborne, two daughters - Viola and Luella. Daughters married into Holmes and Dickey families. James and Nancy had 2 sons and one daughter - John b. 1870 in Pontotoc, Dora Caroline b 1878 m. Dan McLarty, Ben F. b.ca. 1885 in Pontotoc. Ben m.
