White Oak Creek begins in southeast Hinds County about a mile and a half north of Copiah County (GPS: 32.069168, -90.360790). The creek crosses into Copiah County and continues south for about a mile where it passes under Taylor Grove Lane, From here, White Oak Creek turns to the southwest and meanders a mile and a half to Hwy 27.

In a half mile or so the creek takes in Clear Creek then continues west for another 2 miles and crosses Gallatin Road. White Oak Creek continues heading in a west-northwest direction for 3 miles where it takes in Little White Oak Creek from the north.

Continuing north-northwest White Oak Creek flows another three miles to Bear Creek Road, picking up Alford Branch and Bear Creek along the way. In another three miles on our journey we pick up Browning Branch from the south and then flow back into Hinds County. (GPS: 32.049974, -90.559794)

Continuing in Hinds County in a north-northwesterly direction for 3/4 mile to where Sadlers's Creek is absorbed. After another 3 miles, White Oak Creek crosses under Hwy 18 near Traxler Road then continues west-southwest another 2 1/2 miles and crosses back into Copiah County.

Turning southwest, White Oak Creek goes another 2 miles and passes under Reed Town Road just south of Carpenter. After another mile White Oak Creek ends its journey with a contribution into the Bayou Pierre River (GPS: 32.020522, -90.691114).
