Final rites were conducted for Mrs. Jessie Lee Townsend Beeson, 45, of Monticello June 19 at Antioch Baptist Church.

She died after a brief illness in University Hospital in Jackson.

Mrs. Beeson was the daughter of Robert E. and Lula Mason Townsend, Sr., both deceased, and the wife of Verdie Beeson.

She is survived by her husband; five brothers, Bennie and R. E. Townsend, Jr., both of Brookhaven; Altie Townsend of Monticello; and Leon Townsend of Hammond, La.; seven sisters, Mrs. Hezzie, Mrs. Woodie Smith, Mrs. Alton Brister, Mrs. Webb Russell and Mrs. Elvis Williamson, all of Brookhaven; Mrs. Otlie Gainer and Mrs. Sidney Gibson, both of Gulfport.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m., June 21, from Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Rivers officiating. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery.
