A memorial service for Glynn Everett Blackwell, Jr. will be held April 5, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church is Lawrence County with the Reverend Dwayne Dunaway officiating. Interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Blackwell was born on February 9, 1954 to Mr. and Mrs. Glynn Everett Blackwell, Sr. He passed away on March 15, 2014 at his home.

He loved to hunt and fish and also loved the Saints and LSU. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he had served as Sunday School Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his sister Shari Blackwell, grandmother Cassie Ainsworth, and grandfather Johnnie Blackwell.

He is survived by his father Glynn Blackwell Sr., and mother Doris Blackwell; and two sons, Robbie Blackwell and wife Holly and Greogory Blackwell and wife Tara, both of Bogue Chitto and six grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Rodney Blackwell and wife Debra of Monticello, sister Shelia Soileau and husband Shannon of Texas, brother John Blackwell and wife Jackie of North Dakota, and several nieces and nephews.
