MONTICELLO - Funeral services were held Saturday from the Antioch Baptist church near Monticello for Johnny T. Blackwell, 56, lifelong resident of the Center community.

He died Thursday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Wilson at Center following a long illness.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Blackwell, he was born and reared in the Center community and had spent his life in this community. He had for many years been a member of the Antioch Baptist church.

He leaves four brothers, Alfred Blackwell of Fernwood; Mack Blackwell of Center; R. A. Blackwell of Carmel; Gale Blackwell of Jackson; three sons, Malcolm Blackwell of Center; Glenn Blackwell of Jackson and Robert Keith Blackwell, also of Center, and one sister, Mrs. J. D. Wilson of Center.
