MONTICELLO — Services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Antioch Baptist Church for Inez Lambert Button, 72, of Westwego, La., who died Saturday at West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero, LA, after a lengthy illness.

John D. Hedgepeth was to officiate. Interment was to be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Button was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Giles Leroy Button of Metairie, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Neilene Decorte of Westwego and Melverie Fay Steadeham of Shelby, N.C.; a brother, R.D. Lambert of Monticello; two sisters, Enola Lawrence of Chicago and Louise Lambert of Brookhaven; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Hartman-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
