Gerri Juanita Hancock Griffith, 51, of Jayess, Mississippi, made her heavenly ascend on Thursday, March 26, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 4, 1968 in Collins, Mississippi and grew up in Mize, Mississippi until she was married and made her home in Monticello, Mississippi. She was a very faithful and loving wife, mother and "Mimi", who adored her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was also known to her family and friends as "Nene".

She always wore a contagious smile and possessed a positive attitude as medical issues became a challenge for her, it never diminished her enthusiasm or zest for life. She was strong in her faith, knew that God would heal her and encouraged her family and friends to do the same. Member of Antioch Baptist Church, Monticello, Ms.

Surviving family members, Husband Jimmy Griffith, Jayess, MS they married in 1988 (32 years); Son Daniel Chase Griffith, Jayess, MS; Daughter Amanda Rose Griffith, Jayess, MS; Grandchildren Bentley Franklin Griffith and Madelyn Everleigh Purvis; Parents Jerry and Debbie Hancock of Mize, MS and Shirley Hisaw Beasley of Monticello, MS; Brothers Travis Beasley and wife Brandi of Wesson, MS, Johnny Hancock and wife Tonya of Mize, MS, Andy Hancock and wife Kim of Laurel, MS, Jason Hancock and wife Rose of Mize, MS; Sisters Elizabeth Hancock Grubbs and husband Gregg of Magee, MS, Teresa Hancock of Mize, MS; Grandmother Myrtis Hisaw, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded her in death; Step Father Franklin Dewitt Beasley; Grandparents Jim and Bessie Hancock, Travis Hisaw, Andrew and Alma Smith, Troy and Arminta Beasley . Pallbearers are Andy Hancock, Travis Beasley, Jason Hancock, Johnny Hancock, Charles Devrow and Jasper Cannon.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, march 30, 2020 at 6 pm at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
