James C. Lewis, 58, of Star, died Sunday afternoon at his residence. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday from the Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel on Highway 80 East of Pearl. Internment: Rocky Creek Cemetery South of Florence.

Survivors: His wife, the former Willie Mae Whitten; two daughters, Mrs. Tommy Freeman of Clinton and Miss Kathy Lewis of Star; four sons, Jimmy Lewis and Steve Lewis, both of Star, Richard Lewis of Hattiesburg, and Robert Lewis of Clinton; his mother Mrs. Ina Lewis of Star; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Purvis and Mrs. Kenneth Grantham, both of Florence, and Mrs. Paul Matthews of Pearl; and four grandchildren.
