Oscar Sykes, 83, of 3931 Boozer Drive, died suddenly Thursday morning in Hinds General Hospital. Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday, Antioch Baptist Church. Interment: Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Baldwin Funeral Home, 228 North Jackson Street, Crystal Springs, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors: one sister; Mrs. Corean Welch, Florence; two sons, Everette Sykes, Jackson, Ralph Sykes, Houston, Tx.; one sister, Mrs. Earl Harris, Delhi, La.; one brother, Elbert Sykes, Delhi, La.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
