Mrs. M. J. Hitt, age 92, widow of the late F. M. Hitt of Slate Springs died at Houston Hospital this morning (Wednesday) following injuries sustained in a fall several weeks ago.
 
Funeral arrangements are incomplete…rites at Cross Roads Cemetery sometime Thursday…

Survived by daughter Mrs. Riley Ball of Woodland, MS and sons: Reuben Hitt of Slate Springs, MS, Jim Hitt of Memphis, TN, Walter Hitt of Slate Springs, MS and brother E. M. [sic] Batchelor of Houston, Texas and 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
