This Indenture made and entered into this Fourth day of April One thousand eight hundred and thirty five between Thomas Moore of Claiborne County State of Mississippi of the One part & Francis Patton of the other part of the aforesaid County and State Witnesseth that the said Thomas Moore For and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty two 50/100 dollars Lawful Money of the United States of America to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said Thomas Moore his heirs executors adminsitrators and assigns forever discharges them from haven given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien and convey and confirm unto the Said Francis Patton a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the aforesaid County and State being the North part of the West half of the S.E. quarter of Section Forty Township twelve Range four East beginning on Hickory Tree at Road running North ninety eight poles to corner thence East Eighty Poles thence South thirty Eight poles thence South thirty five degrees West eighty poles to the beginning on Hickory Said Tract containing thirty four acres more or less Together with all the privileges appertenances and advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to Said above described Tract of Land to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of Land together with all the rights privileges immunities appertenances  of whatsoever nature thereunto belonging unto the said Francis Patton his heirs and assigns forever and the Said Thos Moore do for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns that he the Said Thos Moore will forever warrant Secure and defend all and Singular the premises to him the Said Francis Patton his heirs and assigns against all and Every person or persons Lawfully claiming the premises in throughout by or under them or of them and against all Lawful claims whatsoever

This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of November A. D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between Thomas Moore, and Margaret L. his wife of the County of Claiborne and State of Mississippi of the first part and Elizabeth Higdon, wife of John T. Higdon, and daughter of Said Thomas Moore party of the Second part.  Witnesseth that the Said parties of the first part in consideration of the love and affection which they have and bear for the Said party of the Second part, have granted bargained and Sold, and by these presents grant bargain and Sell unto the Said Party of the Second part her heirs and assigns forever All the following described property Situate in the County of Claiborne aforesaid and being the South West quarter of the North West quarter and the West half of the South West quarter of Section Number 15 in Township Eleven Range four East containing in all one hundred and twenty (?) acres more or less being the Same land conveyed by Margaret Shannon To Said Thomas Moore by deed dated August fifth (?) 1853.  Also one hundred acres of land to be laid off on the West Side of the South West quarter of Section Number One (?)of Same Township and Range, by a line North and South as to include the West half of Said quarter Section.
To Have and to Hold the Said property with the appertenances unto the Said party of the Second part her heirs and assigns forever It being the true intent and meaning of this Indenture of the parties hereto that the Said premises hereby conveyed meant and intended as an advancement to the value of twelve hundred dollars by the Said party of the first part to the Said party of the Second part on account of the Share of the Said party of the Second part and her descendants of the real and personal Estate which the Said Thomas Moore may own or have at the time of his death and the Same is to be charged as an advancement to the Said party of the Second part in the division or distribution of Said Estate.
In Witness whereof the Said parties of the first part do hereunto Set their hands and Seals, the day and year first above written

This Indenture made and Entered into this 20th day of July AD Eighteen hundred and fifty seven by and between Thomas Moore and Margaret L. Moore his wife of the first part and Ephraim Davenport of the Second all of the County of Claiborne State of Mississippi Witnesseth That the said Moore and wife, party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money to them in hand paid by Thomas Moore (*) party of the second part at and before the delivery of these presents, have granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell convey and confirm unto the said Ephraim Davenport his heirs and assigns forever, all the following described piece or parcel of land towit:  all of the south end(?) of the East half of the north west quarter of section Fifteen (15) Township Eleven (11) of Range Four (4) East, which lies south of the road leading from Pattona to Port Gibson, Mississippi containing Four and one half acres be the same more or less; To have and to hold the same with the appertenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever; and the said party of the first part, for themselves and their heirs, convenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, that the title to the lands so sold as aforesaid they will and their heirs, Executors and administrators shall warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of any and all persons claiming or to claim the same, Either in law or Equity.

This Indenture made this Eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Sixty Six between Thomas Moore and Lydia M. Wife of said Moore of the first part and E. B. Richmond of the second part all of the County of Claiborne and State of Mississippi.
Witnesseth that the said Moore and Lydia M. his wife of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of thirty seven Dollars 50/100 to them in hand paid before the Signing, Sealing and Delivery of this Deed the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold, released and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell release and convey unto the said E. B. Richmond of the second part, all their right title and claim in and to one certain piece parcel or tract of Land containing five acres more of less situate in the County and State above written and being in section fifteen, Township Eleven, Range four East described and bounded as follows, viz:
On the North by lands of Thomas Moore on the East by lands of Thomas Moore on the South by lands of Thomas Moore on the West by lands of Mrs. E. B. Richmond together with all the appertenances privileges and tenements thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining to said land to have and to hold to the said E. B. Richmond her heirs or assigns forever, and the said Moore for himself his heirs, executors or assigns hereby binds himself to warrant and defend the right title and interest in and to the said tract of land hereby conveyed to said E. B. Richmond her heirs or assigns and against any person or persons claiming or pretending to claim the same.

D. Bean of the second part, all of the County of Claiborne and State of Mississippi-Witnesseth that the said Moore and Lydia M. his wife of the First Part for and in consideration of the sum of Sixteen Hundred and Twelve Dollars and fifty cents, to them in hand paid before the signing, sealing and delivery of this deed the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold released and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell, release and convey unto the said Bean of the Second Part, all their right, title and claim in and to one certain piece, parcel or tract of land containing two hundred and fifteen acres more or less, situate in the County and State above written and being in Section No. fifteen, Township Eleven, Range four east described and bounded as follows-Viz-on the North by lands of Thomas Moore on the East by lands of James H. Patterson on the South by lands of said Patterson and the Public Road leading to Port Gibson and on the West by lands of Eliza. B. Richmond together with all the appertenances privileges and tenements thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to said land -to have and to hold to the said W. D. Bean his heirs or assigns forever, and the said Moore for himself his heirs, Executors or assigns hereby binds himself to warrant and defend the right title and interest in and to the said tract of land hereby conveyed to said W. D. Bean his heirs or assigns and against any person or persons claiming or pretending to claim the same.

This Indenture made and entered into this 11th day of February A.D. 1870 by and between Thomas Moore party of the first part, and Persons Wells, party of the second part, both of the county of Claiborne and State of Mississippi.  Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the Sum of One Dollar to him in hand paid by said party of the second part the receipt whereof if hereby acknowledged, the said party of the first part has and by these presents doth sell, convey, release and forever grant claim unto the said party of the second part, his heirs &c. all the estate, right, title and interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever, in law or equity, which he, the said party of the first part has of in or to the following described tract, piece or parcel of land, lying being and situated in said County and State, to Wit:  all of that tract of land which is bounded on the North by the road leading from the Warrenton (?) and Port Gibson Road.....

This Indenture made and entered into this Twenty eighth day of March A.D. 1870 by and between Thomas Moore of the County of Copiah and State of Mississippi Party of the First Part and Thomas Richmond of the County of Claiborne and State aforesaid Party of the Second Part Witnesseth That the said Party of the First Part for and in consideration of the sum of Three Thousand Dollars in hand (unreadable word) and secured to be(?) paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and deliver unto the said Party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns forever The following described land and premises lying and being in said County of Claiborne & State aforesaid all that certain tract of land on which the said Party of the First Part formerly resided and on which his son John Moore now resides containing about Four Hundred and Twenty acres more or less and bounded as follows Towit-On the North by lands of Robert Patton on the East by lands of said Patton and Thomas Brown, On the South by William D. Bean and on the west by lands of said Patton and Mrs. Eliza Richmond, so as to include all the land in said tract now owned by said Party of the First Part be the same more or less hereby warranting the title to said land and premises unto him the said Party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns forever against the claims of all persons whomsoever-To Have and to Hold said land and premises unto him the said Party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns-

This Indenture made this Eighth day of June Eighteen hundred and thirty six between James Moore as Guardian of his nephew James Moore of Claiborne County, State of Mississippi, of the first part and Thomas Moore of Said County of the other part, Witnesseth that the said James Moore, Guardian, as aforesaid, having obtained an order of the Probate Court to sell the Real Estate of his said Ward hereinafter described and having after due advertisement Sold the same at public vendue when said Thomas Moore being the last & highest bidder became the purchaser at the price of five hundred and thirty four Dollars;  now therefore the said James Moore, Guardian, as aforesaid, in consideration of the promises (?) and of the said sum of five hundred and thirty four Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Moore hath aliend, Sold and conveyed and by these presents doth alein, sell and convey to the said Thomas Moore the followin Real Estate to-wit: Lot No. One of fractional Section Number Twenty three in Township No. Eleven of Range No. four east containing forty eight acres also an undivided half then (?) part of Lot NO. three of Section No. twenty five of Township No. Eleven of Range four east containing Seventy Seven acres to have and to hold the said described Lands to him the said Thomas Moore and to his hiers and assigns forever and the Said James Moore, Guardian, as aforesaid, doth convenant and agree with Said Thomas Moore forever to warrant and defend the Said Land and Each and Every parcel thereof to him the Said Thomas Moore and to his heirs and assigns against the right, title & Estate of all persons Whom we in witness whereof, he hath hereunto set (?) Know all men by these presents et al we Joshua Kelly and David Grissom (?) A.(?) B. Lee & R. J. Bland of Claiborne County and State of Mississippi are held and firmly bound unto Thomas L. Moore of the County and State aforesaid in the sum of Seven hundred Dollars to be paid to the said Thomas L. Moore or his certain attorney, executors, administrators or assigns. to Which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators and every of them, firmly by theses presents.  Sealed with our Seals and dated the 11th day of Jun 1838.  Whereas the said Joshua Kelly hath bargained and sold to the said Thomas L. Moore all of his the said Kelly's right title and interest of in and to Lot Number 2 in square No. 8 situate in the Town of Port Gibson--And whereas the said Kelly cannot at present make to the said Lot or parcel of ground described as aforesaid.-Now the condition of the obligation is such that if the above bound Joshua Kelly his heirs executors administrators or any of them, shall and do well and truly make or cause to be made to the Said Thomas L. Moore his Executors administrators or assigns on or before the first Day of January 1840 (or41) a good and perfect deed of Conveyance for said Lot No. 2 in square No. 8, then this obligation to be null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.

Allen and Joanna T. his wife party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Moore at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and confessed and the said party of the second part his heirs executors and administrators forever released and discharged from the payment of the same or any part thereof by these presents have granted, bargained, sold, conveyed, and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto him the said party of the second part his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever all these tracts, pieces or parcels of land lying and being in the County of Claiborne and State of Mississippi and described as follows (to wit):  The East 1/2 of the South West 1/4(?) of Section NO. 1 of Township NO. 11 of Range 4 East containing 79 75/100 acres, the West half of the South East 1/4 of Section No. 1 Township NO. 11 of Range 4 East containing 79 75/100 acres, also the North East 1/4 of South East 1/4 of Section No. 1 in Township No. 11 Range No. 4 East containing 39 80/100 (?) acres making in all 198 87/100 (?) acres be the same more or less, and being the same land conveyed to David McCaleb by George H. Evans, Sheriff of Claiborne County by deed bearing date the twenty first day of May Eighteen hundred and forty two and by him to the said Andrew J. Allen by Deed bearing the date the twenty fourth day of June Eighteen hundred and forty five--Together with all and singular the appurtenances, hereditaments, privileges and advantages whatsoever unto the above described premises belonging or in any wise appertaining--and also all the estate, right, title, interest, and property and claim whatsoever, either at law or in equity of them the said party of the first part of in and to the same------To have and To hold the above granted, bargained and described promises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever, and the said party of the first part for themselves their heirs, executors and administrators do covenant, grant, promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part and to and with his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns that they the said party of the first part and their heirs the above described and hereby granted premises, and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part and unto his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against the claim or claims of him her or them the said party of the first part their heris, executors or administrators and against all persons lawfully or equitably claiming or to claim said premises or any part thereof the said party of the first part shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend-------

Moore, Tax Collector for the County of Claiborne and State of Mississippi have this day according to law, sold the following lots, pieces or parcels of Land, To Wit:  The E1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section No. 1 Township No. 11 Range 4 East containing 79 acres, the W 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section No. 1 Township No. 11 Range 4 East containing 79 acres, the NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section No. 1 Township No. 11 Range 4 East containing 40 acres, and the NE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section No. 1 Township No. 11 Range 4 East containing 40 acres, in all 238 acres lying and being in the County of Claiborne and State of Mississippi, assessed in the year 1842 as the property of William Kilcrease for the Taxes due thereon for the year 1845.  To Wit--The sum of Nine Dollars and four cents, when Thomas Moore, being the best bidder at the sum of Nine Dollars and four cents--I therefore sell and convey said land to said Thomas Moore his heirs &C forever----

This Indenture made this the thirteenth day of February AD 1855 Between Andrew J. Allen and Joanna T. Allen his wife Parties of the first part and Thomas Moore, party of the second part, all of the County of Claiborne County and State of Mississippi.  Witnesseth that whereas the Said parties of the first part by their deed dated the 23rd day of February AD 1846 conveyed to the Said party of the Second part the following described tracts of land Situate in the County of Claiborne and State afroresaid and described as follows towit:  The East half of the South West quarter, The West half of the South East quarter and the North East quarter of the South East quarter--all in Section One Township Eleven Range Four East for the consideration of Eight hundred dollars, and whereas it has been ascertained that there is an error in the description of the land Sold and intended to be conveyed by the Said deed in this towit;  that the true description of the land and intended to be included in Said deed is as follows towit:  The East and West halves of the South West quarter and the North East and North West quarter of the South East quarter of the Said Section One Township Eleven Range Four East and the Said parties of the first part being desirous to correct the Said mistake, now therefore the Said parties of the first part in consideration of the premises have granted, bargained, and sold and do hereby grant, bargain and Sell to the Said party of Second part his heirs and assigns all the following described tracts or parcels of land Situate in the County and State aforesaid being the South West quarter and North East and North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section One Township Eleven Range Four East containing two hundred and forty acres more or less--To have and to hold the Same to the Said party of the Second part, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said parties of the first part covenanted and agree with the Said party of the Second part, that they will warrant and defend the Said land to him and his assigns against all lawful claims whatever.
