Cheatham School Class of 1917 - 1918

The photo is of Cheatham School class. Date is 1917-1918 and Cheatham was the proverbial one room school house and was located at the junction of Fletcher's Chapel road and Neely road.

The small pitiful looking child in the very front, wearing white coat, is my maternal grand uncle Joseph Powell Manor, second student directly behind him is my maternal Grandmother Mary Louise Manor (Mobley).

Front row, student to the right of my Uncle Powell is Francis Edward Martin. Front row, from the left, third student wearing huge striped scarf is Cornelia Johnson (Hilton).

Front row, from left, directly behind student number 5 is Lilly LaPearl Kirk (Thomas).

Front row, from left, fourth student is believed to be Decken Neely. Blond student behind is believed to be Thelma Neely.

Last row of girls, in striped, large collared dress is Maggie Lee Brumfield (Manor).
