Round concrete row markers can be found by entering the east gate and walking a fairly straight line, a few feet left of the chain-link fence boundary on your right. Grave listings are in order from the east side to the west side on each row. There are several 'short' rows that are not in a straight line.

Information was obtained from walking the cemetery, then comparing the information with the Cemetery Association Plot map(**) and then checking for missing names in Dr. McCain's Cemetery Book (*) from the early 1970s. Oral information is noted on final page.

ORAL NOTES:
Mrs. Nell Aston: 'Uncle Rafe was a brother to my father, Cole. Uncle Rafe had an older tombstone but after Aunt May died the children bought the new stones for them. The Ellenburg baby is Uncle Rafe's and Aunt May's. Most Ellenburgs are buried at Spring Hill but Uncle Rafe was living near Crossroads when the baby died. I didn't know anything about the baby, it either died before I was born or I was a very little girl. Uncle Rafe said because he was saved at Crossroads he wanted to be buried there too.'Mrs. Doris Weeks: 'Russell Lane is my Daddy's (Mack Rimmer) baby sister's (Mary Rimmer Lane) son. Aunt Mary had been married to J.V. Lane from around Spring Hill. Aunt Mary died in December of 1972, don't know for sure when the baby had died.'

Mr. Thomas Grady Russell: 'Thaddeus Warsaw Russell's son was Thaddeus WALTER Russell, and born on 17 Apr 1869, and died on 26 Sep 1883. His date of death was listed in the Weeks-Orr Bible, but his date of birth was not . . . in the Crossroads Cemetery information. Also, Thomas George Russell needs to be listed in Crossroads. He was born 17 May 1859, and died 22 Feb 1867, at the age of 8 years.'

Written memoirs of Pearl Hannah Bryant: Margie Russell Stringfellow Hannah...a big bunch of stones at Margie's grave near the [western] gate... and Mattie Scarlet Hannah is buried at Crossroads too, a sandstone near J. B. Hannah's grave. Mama [Pearl] was 4 years old when Mattie died & it was wintertime. She had measles & pneumonia and died. [Mattie was 1st wife of J. B. {James Buck} Hannah and Margie was the 2nd wife]. There is a newpaper account of the death of Margaret Hannah in the 9/2/1926 Monitor Herald. Death date: Aug. 26 1926.
