Charley Bass Passes
Funeral services for Charley Bass, age 29, of Jackson, former resident of Jefferson Davis, county were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Antioch Baptist church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Solon Walker, pastor of Antioch; Dr. L. E. Green, Prentiss pastor; and Rev. Hall of Jackson. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bass passed away at the family home, 509 Earl Street, Monday at 1 p.m. after a short illness diagnosed as pneumonia. He is survived by his wife; one child, Shirley V. Bass; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Bass; and a sister, Mrs. Artie Cleveland, all of Jackson; and one brother, Goodwin Bass, Prentiss.
