Deed: John G. Faris to Farris Public School

Personally appeared before me the undersigned Justice of the Peace in and for Said County and State, the within named Mrs. Frances A. Martin, who acknowledged that she signed and delivered the foregoing obligation on the day and year therein mentioned and for the purpose therein set Forth, as her own act and deed.
Witness my signature and official seal at Rodney Miss.

In consideration of One Dollar hereby convey to the Farris public school the land in said County and State for 25 years. Described as one acre being in the SW ¼ of NE half of Section 27, Township 9,Range 4 East.

Know all men by these presents that we John G. Farris and- his wife of the first part, have this day for and in consideration of one dollar cash in had paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have  bargained, sold and conveyed to Clinton Farris of the second part and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell the following described tract or parcel of land viz:

The N ½ of the South East ¼. And the South East ¼ of N.E. ¼ of Section 27 Township 9 Range 4 East. Containing One Hundred and twenty acres, more or less in Jefferson County and State of Mississippi. To have and to hold all and singular the improvements and appurtenances there to belonging to him, the said Clinton Farris, his heirs and assigns forever, And we will forever warrant and defend the title against all claims whatsoever to him the said Clinton Farris.                                         
                                   In testimony whereof we have hereto set our hands and seals on this

A ?Patent? awarding Homestead land to Neil Ray Wilkinson.

                                       THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

No. 3223  To all whom these presents shall come, Greeting:
Whereas Neil Ray Wilkinson of Jefferson County Mississippi has deposited in the GENERAL LAND OFFICE of the United States, a certificate of the REGISTER OF THE LAND OFFICE at Washington
Whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Neil Ray Wilkinson according to the Provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th of April, 1820 entitled ?An Act making further provision For the sale of the Public lands,? for the South East, in the District of lands to sale of Washington, Mississippi, containing forty acres and three hundredths of an acre.

According to the official plat of the survey of said lands, returned to the General land office by the SURVEYOR GENERAL, which said tract has been purchased by the said Neil Ray Wilkinson, NOW KNOW YE, that the United States of America, in consideration of the Premises, and in conformity with The acts of Congress, in such case made and provided, Have given and granted, and by these presents DO GIVE AND GRANT, unto the said Neil Ray Wilkinson and to his heirs, the said tract above described:
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same together with all rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances of whatsoever nature thereunto belonging, unto the said Neil Ray Wilkinson and to his heirs and assigns forever.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I , Martin Van Buren, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Have caused these letters to be made PATENT, and the SEAL of the GENERAL LAND OFFICE to be hereunto affixed.
 
GIVEN under my hand, at the CITY OF WASHINGTON, the tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty and of the INDEPENDENCE OF THE UNITED STATES. The sixty fifth.

This Deed of Conveyance made and entered into this the Thirty first day of Dec. Eighteen hundred and Seventy nine by and  between John G. Farris and Elizabeth Farris his wife, parties of the first part and Frances Adelaide Martin,, party of the second part and of the County of  Jefferson and State of Mississippi? Witnesseth: The said parties of the first part for a valuable consideration to them in hand by the said Frances A. Martin, party of the second part, The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and do hereby grant, bargain and sell unto said Frances A. Martin, party of the second part all the certain tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and known and described Numbers as follows viz:

The North half of South E. Quarter of Section Eleven Township 9, Range four, containing Eighty acres, more or less. To have and to hold the said lands with the appurtenances, and all the rights, title, claim and demand of the said parties of the first party or either of them and that the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns may forever hereafter have hold and possess and enjoy the same free from molestation by said parties of the first part or their heirs, And the said John G. Farris and Elizabeth Farris his wife do covenant with the said Frances A. Martin that they will warrant and defend  the same to her and her heirs free from and against the  right, title, claim and demand of there selves and their heirs forever.
                                       In witness whereof the said John G. Farris and Elizabeth Farris, his wife, parties of the first part hereunto have their names and seals on the day and year first above written.
 
This deed to my great-grandmother from her father.
(Could not see Judge's name or signatures of John or Elizabeth Farris as the copy ended?. Apparently John and Elizabeth was giving each of their children 80 Acres of Land each.)

Recd and Recorded 4th of March 1831

Know all men by said presents that I John Warfield of the State of Mississippi and County of Jefferson In consideration of the sum of 400 hundred dollars paid me by James Sisson of the State of Mississippi and county of Aforesaid the receipt where of I hereby acknowledge do give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said James Sisson his heirs deed assigning forever S E fourth of section No 36 Township No 15 North of the old bases parallel 31 degree of latitude in range no 5 East of the Basey Mundor? law of land district west of Pearl River containing 159-69- acres to have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with the privileges and opportunity thereof to him the said James Sisson his heirs and assign Forever to his and their use and benefit belong forever and I the said John Warfield for myself my heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said James Sisson his heirs and assurances that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said James Sisson to hold as aforesaid and that I will warrant and defend the same to the said James Sisson his heirs assigns forever against the demands of all Claim on persons. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and lines? this 27th.
