Court Records

To the left you will find the court records I have online. If you have records you would like to submit or additions to these pages, please let me know. If you would like a copy, please click on "Order Records." I do not have copies of these documents.

The first courthouse built in Kemper County was burned in 1873, along with all records. Late in the 1880's another courthouse was built. In 1908 fire again destroyed the courthouse along with most of the records. Most records between 1915 - 1933 were burned in another fire, with only a few surviving.

Will Book A ~ 1881-1927
Will Book B ~ 1929-1959
Will Book C ~ 1940-1975

I have listed the names in the will books in alphabetical order, not in the separate will books. This way, all of your surnames will be together and you would not have to look in 3 separate will books. The link is Will Index.
