Albert Mowdy is listed with his siblings on the Attala County, MS. census of 1850 #431-431: James W. Mowdy 14, Geo. W. Mowdy 14, Albert Mowdy 10, Margaret Mowdy 7, Martha Mowdy 7... At the time of this census the Mowdy children where being cared for by Mr. Lemuel Keith. It is beleved that the father of the Mowdy children died.

Albert Mowdy and his family are listed again on the Neshoba County, MS. 1880 census. Listed there are, Mowdy, Sarah A., W, F, 75, born North Carolina, father from Virginia, mother from North Carolina. (Family researchers believe Sarah A. was Albert's Mother.) Next, Mowdy, Margaret A., W, F, 36, daughter, labor; Mowdy, C?rew E., W. F. 32; Mowdy, Robinson J? H., W, F, 8, grandson; Mowdy, Albert, W, M, 36, born Mississippi, father from Virginia, mother from North Carolina; Mowdy, Sarah M., W, F, 32, wife, keeping house; Mowdy, Samuel F., W, M, 12, son, works on farm; Mowdy, George W., W, M, 11, son, works on farm; Mowdy, James E., W, M, 8, son; Mowdy, Margaret E., W, F, 6, daughter; Mowdy, Michael, W, M, 4, son, (Michael (Mike) Monroe Mowdy was born, 3-20-1876; Mowdy, Amanda J., W, F, 2. daughter.
Note: The name of Michael (Mike) Monroe Mouwdy's father has been found by family on two forms. The name was written as "Ab Mowdy" on Mike's Social Security Application, 3-23-1940. Next, the name appears on Mike's death certificate, 7-26-1946, as Albert Monroe "Mouwdy."

Note: On the 1880 census Mike's mother's name was Sarah M. Mowdy. Her name may prove to be, Sarah (Sally) M. Ray.
Note: Mike's mother's name was written, "Sally Ray" on his Social Security Application. However, on his death certificate his mother's name appears as "Sally Roy".

Notes for ROY CAMPBELL TRASTER JR.: Occupation,Artist/ Animator/ Author. Roy Jr., his father, Roy Sr., and brother, Allen Mellette Traster, were in partnership operating a publishing business known as R.C. Traster and Sons with offices at room 1196 National Press Bldg., Washington D.C. in 1935/36.

Note: Roy Campbell Traster Jr., entered the U.S. Army/Army Air Corps in 1941. He enlisted and began his service to his country as a private first class, (PFC). By April 29, 1945 he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was assigned to the visual presentation branch of the Statistical Control Division, Motion Picture Unit, Programs Analysis Sect., Pentagon Bldg., Washington D.C. As a result of his work, he was given a "Letter of Recommendation to "the Officer's Candidate School of his choice" by Captain, William G. Harke, Jr., Air Corps, Officer Selection Board.
