Mrs. Emma Harris Victim of Death- Former Citizen of Calhoun Died on Saturday, March 17- Burial at Sarepta Mrs. Emma Harris, age 73, who resided at 634 Goodman St., Memphis, Tenn., but who lived many years of her life in and around Sarepta, in this county, died at John Gaston Hospital, Memphis, on Saturday, March 17.

Mrs. Harris was a native of Lafayette County, but her father, the lamented Milton Graham, was born in Calhoun. Her mother, the late Mrs. Loney Dickson Graham, was a native of Lafayette County. She was a member of the Methodist Church and held her membership at Grenada, Miss. A woman of fine character, and one who had a wide circle of friends in this section, she was love and appreciated because of her Christian character, her fine friendship, and her devotion to her family, relatives, neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Harris was the widow of the lamented Mr. Will Harris, a former well known citizen of this county.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harris were held from the Sarepta Baptist Church at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon, March 19, conducted by Rev. L.F. Haire, assisted by Rev. James Buskirk, Rev. Floyd Brasher and Rev. Buford Roane, followed by interment in the cemetery at Sarepta. Pryor Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Pallbearers were as follows: Bill J. Logan, James A. Riley, James Goodson, Less Weeks, Esta Barbee and Wayne Hipp. Honorary pallbearers were John D. Martin, Winfred Harrelson, Junior Lee, R.L. Goodson, Jimmy Ramage, Harley Ramage, Versie Ramage, William Streeter, Raybon Zinn, Bedford Zinn, Arthur Vines, Jimmie Martin, Jimmie Walker, Van Powell and Howard Yancy.

She is survived by a son, Mr. Willie Harris, of Memphis; by a sister, Mrs. Beauna Hipp of Tula, Miss.; and by a grandson, Willie Joe Harris, of Memphis.
