W. T. Hailey

Wesley Tarrant Hailey was born in or near Scooba, MS 6/25/1844, enlisted 3/15/1862 in Co. C, Jeff Davis Legion of Cavalry as a Pvt. and served until end of war in spring 1865; he enlisted and served with his future brother-in-law, S.M. German, also company C. After war he married Sarah Jane Hopper in Kemper County, MS, moved to Abilene, Texas raised a family, d. on 11/20/1904 and buried in Abilene, Texas.
