McKee, Hugh Kelsey (November 17, 1820-September 28, 1894)
Private Hugh Kelsey McKee, Co H, 36th MS Infantry. Hugh was the Son of William Robert McKee and Margaret Kelsey McKee, of Chester County, SC. Was married to Elizabeth Campbell, lived in the Moscow area and are both buried at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery.

Hugh Kelsey McKee, enlisted September 8, 1863 under Major Berry in Enterprise, MS. He was taken Prisoner of War April 9, 1865 in Blakeley, Alabama, was received at Ship Island, MS April 15, 1865, released from Ship Island, MS to Vicksburg, MS May 1, 1865. Muster Rolls can be found at Mississippi Archives and History.
