Holmes, John H.

John Henry Holmes (with beard), Frances Rae Holmes and son Henry Leake Holmes. John Holmes was tax assessor for Kemper County for 20 years while riding his horse, Nellie, on his trips. This home became the home of Tony and Christine Bates. The diary of Robert Masten Holmes was found in the attic.
